Technology actually does in fact make life better. Take for example ghostly telephone harassment. In the old days, ghosts could call you on your landline, catching you off-guard and scaring you half to death. Couldn’t happen today. Nope. You’d see that same number pop up on your screen and send that phantom caller to voicemail.

Of all the spiders in the world, the tarantula would have to be the teddy bear of arachnid society. It’s sweet and calm and fluffy and affectionate. Of course, not in our upcoming movie. For this week, the creatures we shall feature are the mean versions of our favorite spider – “Tarantulas: The Deadly Cargo” from 1977.

It’s been almost four years since we’ve shown this one. Just long enough so Vince doesn’t remember any of it and most of our new viewers may have likely never seen it. The Beast from Haunted Cave from 1959. Produced by Roger Corman’s brother, Gene, this film is somewhat rather different from the typical 50’s monster film.

Vampire films made in Romania are the best. Vampire films set in Romania but that are actually filmed next door in Hungary are pretty good too. And we’ll see this first hand as we present “Daughter of Darkness” from 1990. It stars the guy from Psycho and the girl from Ferris Bueller.
