Vampire films made in Romania are the best. Vampire films set in Romania but that are actually filmed next door in Hungary are pretty good too. And we’ll see this first hand as we present “Daughter of Darkness” from 1990. It stars the guy from Psycho and the girl from Ferris Bueller. It also has the guy that’s married to the lovely lady who portrayed Tasha Yar’s sister on Star Trek TNG, who will helm another film we have coming up soon. The rest of the cast have numerous accent marks in their names and we’ve never heard of them. But they are most likely a big deal in Eastern Europe.
Joining us as our guest will be special effects royalty, Lorne Peterson. This man’s resume will blow your mind because he’s worked on every big budget movie you’ve ever seen. When a cool spaceship needs to be created, George Lucas turns to Lorne, who designed most of The Millennium Falcon, Darth Vader’s Star Destroyer, the cannons atop the Death Star and so much more. He’ll tell us about his amazing work and show us a few samples of his work.
All this while Tangella finds a new toy in the attic, Saturday night at 9PM Pacific Time at the YouTube link above and on-demand at our Roku, AppleTV and FireTV channels. Don’t miss it!
