Of all the spiders in the world, the tarantula would have to be the teddy bear of arachnid society. It’s sweet and calm and fluffy and affectionate. Of course, not in our upcoming movie. For this week, the creatures we shall feature are the mean versions of our favorite spider – “Tarantulas: The Deadly Cargo” from 1977. Basically a bunch of angry spiders sneak over to the US in banana boxes on a plane and then proceed to wreak havoc upon some small California town. Not many big names in this one, but you might spot Howard Hesseman here and there. And Claude Akins, who has coincidently managed to infiltrate much of our programming as of late.
Guest-wise, we had someone really special set up to come on the show, but she had to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances. We hope to have her back in the spring. So you poor souls will just have to contend with more Tangella and Handrew instead.
Saturday night at 9PM Pacific Time at the YouTube link above and on-demand at our Roku, AppleTV and FireTV channels. Don’t miss it!
I grew up in Chicago with Svengoolie, then son of Svengoolie, and now once again, Svengoolie. My wife said I’d never find another program that gives me useless information and entertainment at the same time while I laugh at times! Thank you all for doing what you do
And if you ever need a clown….. we’ll I’ll be happy to participate
