History Creature Features was originally shown on local U.S. tv stations in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s. The movies shown were generally classic and cult horror movies of the 1930s to 1950s. Today we're returning to bring you more cult movies along with conversations with guests who share our love of the cult horror classics.
Very much enjoyed The Vampire Bat, but I do wish Dwight Frye would be discussed. He was an actor who appeared in many early horror films, best known as the madman Renfield in Dracula. Also was in The Vampire Bat, Frankenstein, The Invisible Man, Frankenstein Meets The Wolfman,etc. There’s a book about him called, “Dwight Frye’s Last Laugh”. Alice Cooper sang a song about him early on called, “Dwight Fry”.(he left out the e) I think the older the horror films are, the better!
