What’s the matter with Tangella? No need to ask. We pretty much know the answer to that. The real question is, “What’s the Matter with Helen?” which just so happens to be the title of this weekend’s movie. Starring Debbie Reynolds, Shelley Winters, Agnes Moorehead and Dennis Weaver, this 1971 blockbuster that failed to launch is yet another entry to our recent string of “Psycho-Biddy” films.

Abbott and Costello seldom cross our show’s lineup. In fact, they’ve never crossed it before. But this week, in celebration of America’s Independence Day, we’ll take in “The Time of Their Lives” from 1946. This is a fun movie about two 18th century ghosts in tricorn hats stuck near a well on a New England estate.
Our friends Will and Holly from Land of The Lost…
…are doing the Monster Bash in Pennsylvania. Ryan Lengyel, who did all the pterodactyl stop motion for “Cowgirls vs Pterodactyls” stopped by and brought one of the models from the movie. Fun stuff!
This weekend on Creature Features:
This weekend’s movie was remade in 2004 with Nicole Kidman and Matthew Broderick. But we won’t be able to afford to show that version until summer of 2051. In the meantime, we’ve managed to obtain the more-affordable variant that came out way before that: “The Stepford Wives” from 1975.
