An engrossing evening for sure – our first Frankenstein film. While not the Universal/Boris Karloff classic, it is a very interesting tell of the Mary Shelley novel. “Terror of Frankenstein” from 1977. Starring Leon Vitali as Dr. Victor Frankenstein and Per Oscarsson as the monster, this version of the tale plays off like a messed up episode of Downton Abbey. It could have been called “Terror Between High Tea”, but we still would have watched it. Give it a chance. It’s more accurate to the book than other Frankenstein film.
