Hello, everyone!
It’s time for another update from the Creature Features movie, and we’re happy to report that filming is going very well.
Right now, we’re concentrating heavily on shooting as many of our interior scenes as possible. There’s a practical reason for that: California in the summer is brown. Very brown. And, frankly, not especially pretty.
So we’re saving as many of our exterior scenes as we can for the winter months, when the rains return and Northern California once again becomes green, lush, and much more appropriate for the world of Creature Features. In the meantime, there is plenty happening inside the mansion and on our other interior sets.
We’ve also been working our way through the scenes involving our supporter cast members, and we’ll soon be contacting the remaining sponsor actors again to begin coordinating their appearances and getting more of those scenes onto the schedule.
We’ve included a photo from one of our recent shoots. Supporter Kate R. joined us for a scene with Kathy Coleman, whom many of you will remember as Holly from the classic television series Land of the Lost. Kate gave a stellar performance, and the scene turned out better than we could have hoped. In fact, it may end up being one of the funniest scenes in the entire movie.
There’s still plenty of filming ahead of us, but the pieces are coming together extremely well. We’re getting some wonderful performances, some very funny moments, and some terrific footage. With every new shoot, we get a better look at what this movie is becoming.
And we think the finished film is going to be something pretty spectacular.
As always, thank you for helping us make it happen. We couldn’t be doing this without you, and we look forward to sharing more from the production soon.
