This weekend on Creature Features:

On July 29th 1977, an impressive little horror film premiered for the world. At least it was supposed to premiere. Unfortunately only 65 days prior, a new film called “Star Wars” was released first and it managed to occupy every screen in every movie theater on what seemed like the entire planet. The film that could be a contender for The Exorcist didn’t stand any chance. And given that VCRs where not yet a thing at that time, any prospect for a revival on home media were quashed.

But here at Creature Features, we relish movies just like this. And for that reason this weekend we will screen “Cathy’s Curse” from 1977. It’s a ghost story. It is a tale of possession. And it has some very creepy segments. Perfect for a dark and stormy night. Unless you live in Palm Springs. But the good citizens of that city have better things to do than watch our peculiar show.

Joining us in the parlor will be our old friends Devin Sisk and Ellen MacFarlane from Napa Ghost Hunters. They’ll tell us blood-curdling tales from their adventures, show us some haunted dolls and Devin will present a box-full of hardware he nicked from a haunted house.

All this while Tangella communicates through a slide whistle, this Saturday night at 9PM Pacific Time at the YouTube link above and on-demand at our Roku, AppleTV and FireTV channels. Don’t miss it!
