This weekend on Creature Features:

Having a tagline that goes “The Maddest Story Ever Told”, you’d think it was a film about an insane asylum. And perhaps it actually is. But we call it “The Funnest Horror Film Ever Made” and we’ll be screening it this weekend. With creator Jack Hill’s blessing, no less. Starring Lon Chaney Jr., Carol Ohmart, Sid Haig, Jill Banner, Mantan Moreland and Quinn Redeker; this is a fabulously fun film about a psychotic family living in a creepy house. Sound familiar?

Oh…and we forgot to mention one of the main stars in the list above: Ms. Beverly Washburn. That’s because not only does she have a primary role in Spider Baby but she will also be our special guest for the evening. She’ll tell us how the film was made, how she won the part of Elizabeth and what Lon Chaney and Sid Haig are really like in person.

All this while Tangella casts a canned spell on Handrew, this Saturday night at 9PM Pacific Time at the YouTube link above, 10PM on KOFY TV20 and on-demand at our Roku, AppleTV and FireTV channels. Don’t miss it!

  1. I am thrilled CF showed the wild, hilarious, scary B-movie masterpiece Spider Baby. I didn’t think you could afford to show it, but however you did it, a million thanks. And it was great fun seeing Beverly Washburn and hearing her reminisce about making this cult horror classic.
